You may need to make lifestyle changes, such as stopping smoking and avoiding specific medications, to prepare for the surgery.
Plan your travel and accommodation in Turkey, ensuring you have a comfortable place to recover post-surgery.
The procedure begins with the administration of anesthesia to ensure comfort during surgery.
Small, inconspicuous incisions are made in the areas to be treated.
A tumescent solution is injected into the treatment area to reduce bleeding and facilitate fat removal.
A thin tube called a cannula is inserted through the incisions to loosen and suction out the fat deposits.
The incisions are closed with sutures, and dressings are applied to protect the area.
Here’s a simple explanation for each step of a surgical treatment process:
Contact our clinic to discuss your aesthetic concerns and goals.

To prepare for your belly fat removal surgery, you should do the following:
If you are scheduled for general anaesthesia, you should not eat or drink after midnight the night before your surgery.
Inform the surgeon about your health condition and any medication/supplements that you’re taking. You are advised against taking any blood thinners.
You need to stop smoking and drinking alcohol as they result in a risk of increased bleeding during surgery and delay healing afterwards.
Do not apply any moisturizers on the body and remove any piercing, jewellery or contact lenses.

After the liposuction procedures, patients have to make sure that they’re following the aftercare instructions.
To begin with, you need to avoid all sorts of strenuous physical activities for at least 4-6 weeks after the surgery. Before resuming contact sports, you need to consult the surgeon. You should not smoke or consume tobacco products for 2 weeks because it can increase the recovery time. You can start taking small walks to promote blood circulation. It will also lower the risk of the formation of blood clots. You need to avoid going to the swimming pools for at least a month after the liposuction.
Just make sure that you have a healthy diet. All these will help with the healing process.
Bruising, swelling, and soreness are some of the most common side effects. You can experience them immediately after the surgery. They peak after 1-2 days but should start subsiding after 1-2 weeks.
Numbness may occur due to swelling, which compresses the nerves. It can last for 1-2 months.
Friction burns can also occur due to the back-and-forth movement of the cannula, which rubs it against the skin. They’ll go away after some time.
Small bumps can also develop in the surgical area. These develop as the body is trying to get rid of the injured fat cells left behind after surgery.
Infection
Seroma (collection of fluids under the skin)
Hematoma (blood pools outside the blood vessels)
Blood clots in the leg and lungs
Fat embolism (fat cells block the blood vessels)
Changes in skin colour
Allergic reaction to the general/local anaesthetic
Most patients combine liposuction with tummy tuck surgery, which is for skin tightening. That’s because if you’ve lost a lot of weight or had multiple pregnancies, you may be left with loose skin and persistent fat deposits.
You can get liposuction, tummy tuck and breast surgery (breast lift, breast reduction or breast augmentation) together as a part of the mommy makeover. These surgical procedures will rid you of excess fat and sagging, excess skin in the breasts and abdomen.
A surgeon performing the surgery may also recommend fat grafting, where the fat from the abdomen may be transferred to other areas of the body, such as the face and buttocks. You can also get cosmetic dentistry and other cosmetic surgeries while you’re in Turkey for liposuction.
You can get liposuction in the following areas: abdomen, buttocks, back, thighs, face, back, flanks, waist, chest and upper arms.
